AYOA mentors support students in grades 6–12 with structure, confidence, education, family connection, career direction, and leadership.
Family Restoration
Support stronger parent-teen communication, household structure, conflict resolution, and trust.
Academic Improvement
Encourage attendance, homework accountability, goal-setting, graduation, and college or trade pathways.
Career Readiness
Expose youth to real estate, transportation, sales, property management, HVAC, trades, and business.
Safer Communities
Help redirect youth from suspension, truancy, street involvement, hopelessness, and juvenile-justice pathways.
Leadership & Service
Teach young people to volunteer, lead projects, speak publicly, serve their community, and think about legacy.
Mentor qualifications
Come prepared to commit.
AYOA needs mentors who are dependable, coachable, open-minded, and able to guide young people without judgment.
